i dont buy my husband anything for v-day and neither does he for me. i may send him a free ecard but thats about it lol. it's just another day to us. you dont need a day to show someone you love them. if you love them you show them everyday. or thats my point of view.

Interesting, I wonder why you feel this way? Is it because you've been hurt in the past, or is it because you do not truly agree with nor understand the true meaning of Valentines-Day...To some aspect. I agree with you and to some I do not. I do not totally agree that Valentines-Day shouldn't be about only buying gifts, but it shouldn't be about spending it alone or being alienated neither. Valentines-Day is not just any day, but it is a holiday that is meant to be shared, respected, enjoyed and understood. I truly hope that cupid finds you a Valentine or at least a moment in time to share with yourself...
God bless

I do agree that Valentine's day is just "another day" and although me and my boyfriend never have any big plans he always insists on buying me somenthing special (since it is our anniversary as well). for example i buy him DVD's (thats not romantic - but that's what he loves). We never go out on any fancy dinners or plan anything overly mushy and romantic but it makes me feel so loved when he wants to buy me a special gift. I think you feel that way about Valentine's Day because you are not in love. If you were truly in love you would want to put a smile on your girls face (even a flower - but i bet you don't even do that on any occasion).

No! You can go out and buy a valentnes day card. Crap doesn't cost money, just smells bad and leaves a stain.

No, you don;t have to go out and buy something, and you can't not do anything. Make something yourself, it shows you care and that you didnt just go out and get the first thing you saw. Your valintine will love it!

Wow - you sound like a "anti-valentine" person. You are so un-romantic also. I am glad I donot belong to you.

I think your mate would appreciate a card and at least some flowers or chocolates.
