Some people say Simon is too harsh on most people. Do you think this is true or do you think that him being mean is what makes the show? PLZ answer

I have to agree Simon goes over board with his Insults at times.
It is true that the ratings are so high, they want to see what Simon is going to say next. Plus to watch the Contestants.
Watching Paula and Randy is fun too. They add just as much to the show as Simon does.

I usually just watch the auditions and then forget to watch the Hollywood edition until they actually pick the winner.
I don't think that Simon is anymore harsher than he's always been. I don't see why people are shocked at what he says because they should know him by now. Besides, a lot of those people really suck and they should've figured that out before getting on national tv to make a fool out of themselves. So I don't think he's cruel now. In the past he was because people didn't know what to expect from him when they auditioned.

I love American Idol! It depends on Simon...he can sometimes be raicist or even pick people he likes or thinks is "cute" to go to Hollywood. Although yes it is true that him being mean is what people watch for. Though...people know that...we all still watch and love it! =P

american idol is the bomb. He is only telling them the truth. they are just too dumb to realize that they really cant sing.
