Light a piece of paper. Let it burn for a second and then blow it out so that it makes a decent amount of smoke. Then simply pass the paper in front of suspected draft sites, and observe the smokes motion.

Easiest thing is to take a lit candle to all the edges. The candle will flicker when there is a draft.
I've also hear that if you shine a flashlight in the dark, anywhere the light gets through to the other side, is where the air can also come in. This one requires two people.

I assume you mean minor air leaks around doors or windows and that you're not trying to detect breezes blowing through your house. You can take a lighter and hold it where doors and windows seal to their frames and the flame will flicker if there's an air leak. Don't set your house on fire. You can also hire a company to come check your house for you, if you're looking to save on your heat or electric bill. They will use thermal imaging and other tools to detected drafts, leaks, and poorly insulated areas.

Hold a long piece of toilet paper so it hangs down and if you have air moving, it will move with it.
