I had a baby 7 months ago. I started my cycle about 5 weeks after giving birth. I was very regular at first, which is unusual for me, getting my period every 28 days . I could set a clock by it. Last month I had no period and went to the doctor after about 3 weeks. He prescribed Provera 10 mg, one everyday for 7 days. He said that I should start my period a week after finishing the prescription It is now day 10 and I still haven't started. I have been having crampy feelings and mild pain on my right side during intercourse. I am not on the pill, I take no other medications. What do you think is going on and what should I do? What another week and call the doctor again? What until I finally start? Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!

Whenever I experience pain with intercourse, it is usually one-sided and due to small ovarian cysts. These cysts are normal. As others have advised, you should at least call the doctor. Do another pregnancy test. Find out what is going on with your body, could be many many things. I would at least call next business day, even if you're going to wait a week to go see them.

I would suggest that you relax and enjoy this time of not having
your period. I am not a doctor, nurse, or OB/GYN but I am a
mother of three boys. If you are really that concerned call your doctor in a week but if I think you should enjoy this time and
wait until you finally start.

You should talk to your doctor again.

Pain during intercourse is NEVER normal. (Unless it is losing your virginity which I'm assuming because you had a baby that it isn't that.) If you are skinny you might skip periods as well. (Or exercising to get the 'baby fat' off)

I assume you checked to make sure your not pregnant. You should call the doctor and go back in asap. I am not sure what it is it could be several things causing you to have secondary amenorrhea from stress to hormonal imbalance.

Pain with intercourse needs to be checked out by the doc. Make an appointment with your doc to get this checkd out.

You don't need to be a health care professional of any ilk to answer this question.

See your doctor and tell him/her precisely what you've told us. Do yourself a favour and give yourself peace of mind. Don't wait.
