what language is avatar the last airbender in?

you know in the "theme song" where katara says water, earth,fire,air? what language are the characters in the background? i think its vietnamese but im not entirely sure. once again, a nice juicy reward of 10 points waits for the person who answers my question

It's either Japanese or Chinese. Not Vietnamese.

probably either chinese or japanese, or they could have made it up to be unique.
