As odd as it sounds, my favorite character is Severus Snape. He is my favorite because he is the most interesting person in the series. He is one of the few people in the book that a reader cannot make a decision about. he seems evil, but he is also good. he saves harry multiple times, makes sure no harm comes to him, and plays the villain even though he does heroic stuff that is shrouded by his evilness. Also, at the end of the sixth book, what he did could be considered good or bad. dumbledore may have asked him to do it to spare malfoy from being a killer and would rathar have snape do the dirty deed.

My favorite character is Hagrid. He is just such a warm caring character. I love how he is always caring for animals that no one else wants. He is like the little old lady who is always taking in stray kitties. He also helps Harry a lot, but tries to stay with the rules.

Harry!!! coz he's the hero, he's smart (at times), very brave and stupid... all about him! Well, except the fact that he likes Ginny (I hate her!) Next to him are Snape and Voldemort, the first for being mysterious and the latter for being soooo powerful and handsome when he was still human.

Snape because nobody likes him and I can identify with that.

Honorable mention to Dumbledore because he's the great, but not infallible, father figure. Dobby because the way he punishes himself is a great parody of Catholics.
