As a 22 year old white male from Boston, I found the town a tad lame... where did I go wrong?

My family lives near there. It's a growing city with a small-town, moralistic attitude. Blacks are still second-class, Christians still run the nightlife, and the banks run the economy. Try contra-dancing... My sister loves it. It's a country dance done in two rows, as opposed to square dancing or line dancing. My sister hates clubbing b/c the musician in her hates the music, but she loves to dance. She contra-dances every weekend with her friends at college. It seems to be the "in" thing out there...
