Depends of what is wrong with it. Most likely you don`t, they are all sealed units, throw aways, if you would like the term better.

You can go to your local library. I believe that there you will find books on repairing various appliances, etc. This should help you with minor repairs. If the refrigerator is not cooling, then it could be the compressor which is costly to repair - might as well buy a new fridge. If the refrig is under one year old, your warranty should cover all problems mechanical. If it is under 5 years, the compressor should still be covered. You can call a Sears rep to come to the door, however, check their fees and/or any repairman's fees prior to arranging an appt. Some places charge a fee simply to come to your house, then a fee to see what the problem is. If you go forward with the repair, there is labor and parts added to your cost. Sometimes an independent repairman is less costly than a "brand name repairman".

Unless your an expert or trained in this, it's better left to the craftsman. He's trained to know what to look for and, how to fix it with the most reasonable cost effective methods.
