We have been inondated by problems of global warming and fuel shortages and yet when I submit some posiable solutions no one seems to care! Just like I told my boss about all the waste generated by the bread companys and that someone should collect this waste and produce ethanol out of it and he just looked down on me like I didnt know what I was talking about! I recentley submited an Idea I have had for some time and have been testing about running a jet engine on corn flour to General electric and got the responce "you submited your idea to the wrong place". All they would have had to do was to redevert my email with a couple of clicks so this told me it fell on deaf ears. So what I want to know is are we really looking for answers or just blowing smoke! Oh and by the way don't give me your cheep uninformed answers from the nut gallery please!

If you want results - do not start your letter with a lot of details about your idea (an engineer doesn't often open the mail).
Give a very brief description and then elaborate on how it will greatly enhance their bottom line - that gets their attention. And then go on to explain the details of your plan.

I don't want you to be upset by what I'm telling you.

You can have the greatest idea in the world, but you won't be able to get it across unless you state it clearly.

If you're sending written information, start by making sure all the words are spelled correctly. Use a spell checker or have someone else proofread it.

Did you ever notice in school that the kids with the neat handwriting got better grades than those whose writing was illegible? It's the same kind of thing.

If you have a great idea, don't give up. Just work on making sure others can understand it.

Good luck.

If you really think that you have a good idea, you need to keep pursuing it. Ask more people, write letters to legislators, or find activist groups to get involved with.
