i am really not sure about that!! but...you could go with what the colors in your outfit are going to be.
they make hair stuff for that! it's even cheaper than nail polish and you could use the polish on your nails!
back to the question...black and red would look good!

try buying some metallic colors put on one color of your choice then take some small amounts and put them on your nail (very small amount) of each color and use a toothpick and mix it up.
