In your opinion, what constitutes family?

To me family is the people i care most about. I think a lot of people confuse family with relatives. They're not necessarily the same.

A family does not necessarily constitute a father, mother and children. As long as you feel loved, cared for and secure, you could have a family with everyone or anyone.

A group of two or more people, not neceasily related by marraige or birth; who don't necessarily all live in the same place; who arrange their lives around one another; who share activities, celebrations, commiserations, chores, etc; who support each other emotionally, financially and practically; who enable individuals in the group to do their own thing at times.

A family doesn't have to be blood relatives or spouses.
It could be friends too.

Anyone you feel close enough to consider family.

Some people may have never really had a "family", (Mother, Father, siblings, etc.)

So I believe a family can be your flesh and blood and/or friends, spouse, pets, boyfriend/girlfriend, neighbor etc......

Family is a unit not a fractured part of one
