If you have smooth skin and have light imperfections, then Bare Essentual does work (I love it, it makes my skin look so natural). But if you have problematic skin/scars, Mac works better as far as coverage.

It is wonderful, it makes your face look flawless and beautiful! You have to use the three steps to make it work, the foundation, the "warmth" and the mineral veil. Use the mineral veil after you are done with all makeup except your mascara and your lipstick. It will "set" the look and make it last all day no matter what. You can adjust the look before the mineral veil but not after. Make sure you get the right base color and watch the video on how to apply it correctly. Then, it takes just a couple of minutes in the morning to apply. I use it and I have dry skin, it is just wonderful any time of the day, and it goes on quickly and flawlessly. My daughter uses it and she has t-zone skin, it works great with her "proactive" acne treatment and makes her face less oily. The only negative is that it can be messy and you need a "workspace" where you can apply it without getting it all over everywhere. But, if done correctly any face can be a work of art using the three steps. You can even sleep in it it is so natural.

I bought Bare Escentuals before Thanksgiving, and at first I was "underwhelmed" because I couldnt tell I was wearing makeup. The next day, I put my old make-up on and had to go back to Bare Escentuals. It's really light and natural, and if you have dark circles, the foundation with correction brush (they both come in the starter kit) are like magic. No joke.

It's a bit on the expensive side but lasts a long time. Like I said, I bought the starter kit in November; I've still got quite a bit left!

I really recommend it!

this is the first foundation i've ever bought so i'm not sure if its the best make-up out there but it does make my face less red and it feels like i'm wearing nothing. i suggest you go to any sephora store and ask them for a free make-over with the bare essentuals before buying it, it might work on some faces but not on others.

I honestly think it is best on people who don't have bad skin to begin with. It is a powder, so the more you have to put on, the more it looks caked on. I have it and use it everyday. I love it. I didn't really wear foundation to begin with, so it is great for medium coverage. It covers just enough to make my skin look flawless and VERY healthy, even when the rest of me doesn't. And it does tend to blend in with any skin color like the commercials say. It also doesn't feel like you're really wearing make-up and stays put, so you really don't have to worry about it all day.

It really doesn't give great coverage. If your skin is perfect and you don't use foundation than maybe but I didn't care for it. I find that it clings to the little blonde hairs on your face and to your brows and makes them stand out. I really recommend Clinique as one of the best though! If you want something light, they have a foundation called Almost Makeup that is great.

I never saw the commercial as I lived out of the states, but I heard so much about it and I bought them last time when I was in the states, I absolutely love it, never feel this great before. Here are a list of things I use and my comments: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?option=com_search&Itemid=5&searchword=bare+escentuals&submit=Search&searchphrase=exact&ordering=newest

Well...
First of all- I have sampled it at Sephora and when I tried it out it seemed very comfortable and light. It worked fairly well and if i were you I might go to Sephora, ask some questions, try it out, and if it seems right to you go ahead and get some.
Personally I liked it.
But- right now I am using the Dream Matte Mouse from Maybelline. I have gotten many compliments about my face too- its another good one to cosider!
Hope this works for you!
