i gather you are taking the pi$$,does AFL need a world cup to be a great game?soccer would have to be the most over-rated sport in the world-fully corrupt,you only had to watch the last world cup to see that,the players are sooks the game boring and the fans are fanatical probably out of boredom ,rugby union is a different matter, good game, hard and skillful at the same time and so is the AFL so bring on the 2007 season

Actually there have already been two International Cups 2002 and 2005, and yes after 2008 should then come along every 4 years. It looks like a number of the games will be played as curtain raisers to regular AFL games in August 2008.

The AFL plans to host the International Cup regularly every four years, beginning in 2008, the 150th anniversary of the code

2 years but Australia does not play in the International Cup.

The International Cup is played between 12 rising Australian Rules countries.

I dont think we will EVER see Australia play in it as we are to good unless some countries make this sport BIG
