Good question - I've always wondered that as well. All I can figure is it is partially the gloomier light, the pressure change, and the lulling sound of the rain on the roof.

Great question. I go through the same thing.

This also happens on gloomy days.

I don't have a scientific answer to this, but I know that rainy/cloudy days = somewhat depressing to me.

Sunshiny days = happy days. It probably has something to do with the amount of light.

i feel the same way as you do. im residing in Manila, Philippines, where we have only 2 seasons, wet and dry. i think that raining makes you feel more comfortable because it changes the room temperature as well as the amount of light that is coming into your room. in this way, you feel that it is still night (because it is dark). it could also be that you are adjusted into a different season.

good guestion. I think that the rain falling on the roof is soothing to us in some way and that is way we can't wake up.

I feel the same way. I think that, for me, it has a lot to do with the fact that there's not as much light outside as usual.

maybe because it is great to stay in bed and sleep when it is rainy. Everyone loves to do that.
