Yahoo Chatrooms seem to be pretty good. These can be accessed through your yahoo instant messenger. May I also suggest, IRC channels. A quick search on google, for example: "computer technoloy IRC", or another example "computer technology chatroom" will yield results that will satisfy your needs.
