Technically it's not illegal since you, yourself, are not over 18 years old hence not making it a statatory rape case. Either way, really talk things through to make SURE you (or at least she) is ready. It's a big deal. If it does happen, PLEASE use protection. 15 is a very young age to have a kid.

For the doctor's needs, it will help immensely if you say you're sexually active. If your genitals have been in contact with other genitals, inside or out, that's definite sexual activity as far as the doctor is concerned. You can be technical if that helps you feel more comfortable. Say you've never had vaginal intercourse, but you've engaged in manual or oral sex, or use the terrible word "outercouse". Unless your doc knows what frottage means, that's a better word. What your doctor hears is confidential, and you're an older teenager so you don't need to worry. Unless they feel you are in some kind of danger, they aren't telling anyone your sexual status. If his junk is on your junk, use condoms EVERY TIME! When junks touch, the sex is now unsafe, even if it's not penetrative sex. You'd hate to be that girl that got pregnant without having sex, or the one that got an STD from an untrustworthy partner and didn't realize that could happen.

EXCUSE ME!!, did you say almost 14 and your 16 ? Partner NOTHING SAYS, Statutory Rape like this one! Please!, Please!, put the head on your shoulders and take note! If you become sexually active with a 14/15 year old girl, consenting or not, the risks involved are far to reaching to cover them all in this attempt at an answer. And Judgement Call?, you better believe it's a Judgement Call. While I realize the "*URGES*" you are probably feeling, I want you to take this into advisement.
Lets say you and your girlfriend have this relationship that you can't keep your hands off each other and then BAM! you give into these urges, and O.K. now you know what it's like. She comes to you and says " I think I'm Pregnant " , about this time your jumping for joy and then reality Hits you Like you just stepped in front of a train. WOW, I'm a FATHER!. But, now is the Question can you be a DAD!. AND, there goes school, cause you'll have to drop out to take care of your liitle pride and joy. OH NO, there goes college, NO time for school you have to WORK and buy Diapers, Formula, Baby Clothes, Nursery Items, Man I wish I could afford a New Car, but I can't, I don't have the education to get a GOOD PAYING JOB!! THEN COME THE MEDICAL BILLS!
And now your thinking WHAT THE *&(^%$ DID I DO?! Yes it's a Judgement Call, For yours and Her sake WAIT!! You should also remember the legal ramifications of your Judgement Call.
From My Heart To The Both Of You, WAIT You'll be glad you DID!!
GOD BLESS/GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

I'm not aware of the laws in Virginia. However, I do ask that you thoroughly consider the consequences of having sex. I say this from my personal perspective - I gave myself away before I was married, and it posed a lot of long term consequences that I do regret. Giving your body away is pleasurable, but only for a moment. You will realize that having sex with someone you are not committed to (marriage) will make you feel used, dirty, and extremely guilty when you do meet your future spouse in the future. Sure, people say you can wear protection, and that you should guard yourself from STDs. But, there's so much more damage involved. Of course, I will not tell you what to do. But I do ask that you consider what I am saying from someone who has had sex before marriage. It still hurts and the guilt lingers, even though I made that mistake years ago. Your virginity is so precious, and your girlfriend is apparently very precious to you (as I can see because you humbly took the time to even post such a question). I am really proud of you for even bringing this up. Sex is not an easy thing to deal with, and waiting till marriage is so difficult that it requires God's guidance. I hope you and your girlfriend have a wonderful relationship, and that you both continue treating each other with mutual love and respect, keeping in mind that true love does indeed wait. God bless.

I can't believe the terrible advice people have given here. Do you want to be a teen aged father? What will you tell your parents? How will you face them? Can you support a child? No form of birth control is 100% effective. Having sex means you are capable of being a parent. And yes, her parents can have you arrested for statutory rape when you're 18. A minor cannot give consent. You would be making a huge mistake.

No matter how you look at it, you are both too young.
I do not know the legalities where you live but you are not ready.
I pray she is too young. Wait a few years and focus on other things. Like school and sports.
You just do not have the emotional maturity to deal with these things let alone a means to support yourselves.
Get smart and get smart.
Please

It's legal until you turn 16 then it will be illegal until she turns 16. But even after that she can claim statory (sp) rape on you until she turns 18.

Here's a site that has considered the law in VA. Be careful, her parents may not be as understanding as a judge.
