hm, she probably thinks that black nail polish and eye liner is giving off a rebellious vibe, which i understand. it's badass and punk. but if it's your style, i dont think you should have to hold back.
personally, i think black nail polish gives off a rude vibe, kind of like you're a really independent person who doesn't want to be told what to do. i know this is a really stereotypic thing to say, but it's just my opinion.
i want to say you shouldn't let her stop you from expressing who you are, but i also understand that as a mom, she just wants to keep you young and innocent.

I agree that this is the wrong thing to "Battle " over.....There are ALOT more important things than the color of your nails ( or wearing eyeliner ).....my mother just sighed and roled her eyes at some of the "Fashion Statements " I made ! But she was very strict about almost everything else ! ( grades, friends, curfew, etc... )

Men look weird wearing eyeliner and they look weird wearing nail polish. That ****'s for women, and you'd look emo if you wore eyeliner and black nail polish. She cares about you and doesn't want you to look emo. Black nail polish and eyeliner is definitely not you.

well u should wait until u turn a certain age because its a lot of people who parents who wont let there kids where makeup.or u could sneek and where it and take it off and repeat the same thing.
