Please help me interpret a dream.

I was seated in a balcony enjoying telling a story to an old friends. As I was looking at a distance, a building collapsed! I was stunned... After several seconds, another building collapsed! Then after several seconds, another one collapsed... until finally, I felt that the earth is shaking... Then, I woke up.

What really bothers you at the moment when you woke up?

I would recommend that you apply Carl Jung's approach in dream interpretation. First, look at the images in your dreams:

1. Balcony
2. Old friends
3. Buildings collapsing.
4. Earth shaking

For each images, reflect on which or who you associate these?

Let me guess....

The balcony is where you are at the moment... your presence... who you are at the moment.

Old friends represents what you are used to be doing.

Buildings collapsing represents the different changes happening around you.

And earth shaking... manifests your own insecurities and fears.

Dreams are sometimes given by the Lord to show where you need improvement in life. The interpretation of such dreams is true, but only if the interpreter has guidance from the Lord. Other dream interpreters that have a lot of experience can come close, but if there is direct guidance from the Lord concerning those dreams that are consistant with a dream that is given BY him, then the interpretation will hit a soft spot on the person's soul. The interpretation will be perfect. Many will not agree with me, and I never answer questions with regard to dreams that are simply the mind replaying the day. I also do not believe that any interpretation I give is mine, but belongs to Christ. There are instances in the Bible of 2 dream interpreters, Joseph and Daniel. I will not say that ALL dreams have meaning. Some are, as you say, random thoughts occuring as you sleep. Should you have one with deeper meaning, do not be afraid to voice it. You will know the true interpretation when you see it.

Dreaming of a building, represents the self and the body. How high you are in the building indicates a rising level of understanding or awareness.

If you are in the lower levels of the building, then it refers to more primal attitudes and/or sexuality. Dreaming of a building in ruins or damaged indicates that your approach toward a situation or relationship is all wrong. You need to change. Your own self-image may have suffered and taken some blow. Dreaming that you or someone fall off a building, suggests that you are descending into the realm of unconscious. You are learning about and acknowledging aspects of your unconscious. Alternatively, it symbolizes your fear of not being able to complete or succeeding in a task.

Seeing your friends in your dream means aspects of your personality that you have rejected, but are ready to integrate these rejected part of yourself. The relationships you have with those around you are important in learning about yourself. Additionally, this symbol foretells of happy tidings from them and the arrival of good news. Seeing your childhood friend in your dream means regression into your past where you had no responsibilities and things were much simpler and carefree. You may be wanting to escape the the pressures and stresses of adulthood. Consider the relationship you had with this friend and the lessons that were learned. Alternatively, the childhood friend may be suggesting that you have been acting in a childish manner and you need to start acting like an adult.

First I would ask, what is going on in your life...?

The old friends in your dream are different aspects of yourself...and if they are old friends, then you know them fairly well, as you should know yourself....

Balcony is part of a building...and the other buildings...sometimes these represent the concious or unconscince mind.....

The buildings collapsing...something is going to possibly shake your foundation...this is why I would ask what is going on in your life....

This is not a dream about the future..but more like a warning...To be on the look out for something....something that is already taking place and your mind is trying to call your attention to it.

This is what it means:
In the beginning- at times end- of your sleep cycle, your mind has been reviewing the information that has been presented during the previous day, how it relates to past information, and creating new connections with the information that is fresh in the brain.
On your way to wakefulness, you pass through your final delta wave sleep, theta, and to beta. Here your mind recalls what only stands out to it as memorable. The dreams you have most often are fairly irrelevant to you. But on this occasion, what you dreamed holds symbols of something that grabs your attention, jump starts your alpha waves, pulling you from sleep into wakefulness. Often you are left with the emotional remnants (at times physical, like sweat, tears, etc.) of your dream.
That's all it means. You were sleeping. Congratulations - you are still normal and have made it to another day on the earth.

Those buildings represent your hurts against those close to you. In order to have healing, you must let go of these hurts (let these buildings collapse). You can do so by seeking them or reaching out to them. Have a forgiving heart.
