I was reloading my mouse onto my computer as the right click wasn't working. When I turned it on it said it found new hard ware, and then shut down. The tower didn't shut down nor would it reboot. The light on the tower started flashing on and off very quickly. I ended up just unplugging the unit. The next day when I plugged it in, the tower was already on with out me turning it on, however it would not boot up! I am using an old back up computer now...I think I have gone back in time, so if you can help me please, share your thoughts and ideas. SOS!!!

By default your bios will not allow your system to boot-up when it detects keyboard or mouse errors.First you need to buy a new mouse considering it started to malfunction. If you are using a wireless mouse it could be the driver. If all else fails,go into safe mode and look under mouse properties to see if the computer even detects it.Safe mode is F8 during boot-up.Some times depending on the motherboard you can go into the bios and choose to run with errors.
