how do I stop people from downloading thing from the internet. winguard works great for ie but not for firefox. I need something for firefox. I have set up the other users as limited users but they are still able to download stuff just not install it. I dont want all that garbage from peoples downloads on the desktop. I want to stop it before it downloads. I have also disabled the windows installer and prohibit user installs in group policy for extra security. Anyone have any ideas

Allowing them 'Limited User' status is the problem. To prevent them from downloading program you need to restrict them to Guest User accounts.

You need to extablish yourself as the Administrator and Limited User. This Microsoft site explains it and how to set up the accounts properly.

a filtering proxy would be best as any http traffic leaving it would be filtered. You would only have to worry about very savvy users using anonymous or open proxies or tunneling through the firewall. see http://www.experts-exchange.com/Security/Q_22105352.html
