Don't worry. Most of us spend some time by ourselves. Even if we marry young. No need to obsess over it. In fact, alone time may be a great time to learn more about yourself, and to develop your personality to the fullest. Just remember: You are a worthy individual whether you are in a romantic relationship or not, and these things can't be forced.
Cheers - I'm also alone on Valentine's day (St-Valentine, by the way was mostly known for being eaten by wild cannibals in the steppes or Russia - how romantic!). So anyway, don't sweat it. Life is good to those who know how to appreciate it.
And if you want chocolate in a heart-shaped box, why don't you go and get yourself one? Your money's as good as anyone else's and that's mostly what this holiday (like all others) is all about. Consume!

well.. for the fact that you posted this question here in yahoo makes one wonder about your self-esteem..
If you are a confident person, you wouldnt care if you have a girl on valentines day or not.. Just love yourself. Go do a self thing that day.. Go to the movies, go work out, go buy something, take yourself out to eat..
What girl would want a dude that whines on a yahoo forum about not getting a girl.. I wouldnt.. sorry.. YOu need some backbone

The key to your question is the fact that you said you are "desperate". Stop acting and feeling that way. Women can sense it a mile away, and when they detect such an attitude, they will go well out their way to avoid you. Just relax and let the action come to you. Before you know it, you'll have more women than you can handle.

Well noone should be desperate to have a girlfriend just to say you have a girlfriend. Just work on youself take classess etc. and when the time is right you will find one. In the meantime noone likes to be lonely.so suround your self with friends, go out and have fun with friends and when you least expect it love will come.
