I like it when people, as you say : NICELY, point out my grammar-mistakes. (English isn't my native language, so I've still got a lot to learn, grammar-wise.Thank Gawd for spell-check, LOL)
I never point out grammar-mistakes, (when I spot them), to others, since I'm not good at it myself, they're better of by learning it from someone who knows what he/she is talking about.
To be honest, I hope/guess Joel was putting us on with that awful spelling, or maybe he hasn't noticed yet there's a sign :"Check spelling" which is right above this window we're writing in....you should start using it Joel, you'll love it, and you'll learn from it as well, as I do, almost every day!!

I've seen Joel around so I know that was intentional. But the only time I critic the spelling and such is if the Q. is offensive. If someone is asking a legit Q. but they are bad spellers, I see no reason to give them grief. I'm sure they are aware of that shortcoming..no one appointed me to the Grammar Squad as far as I know.

I choose the questions I feel comfortable to answer, which make sense or are easily understood. I totally ignore the questions with wrong spelling/crude or rude questions or the bad grammar. No prizes awarded, so it doesn't really matter

I keep it to myself. I believe people find it comforting here to ask and answer question rather than in the "real" world. We are judge on so many things in life. My advise is to look deeper pass the words and read with your heart. Sometimes I think people just need that life line thrown at them.

It truly depends on the question. If it's a nice, friendly, funny or serious question, then I just ignore it and answer. If it's a perverted or sick question, I will let them have it.
By the way, regarding the question on the link you posted, that was all just a joke. I have seen numerous questions and answers posted by that guy and they have never looked like that. I am certain he thought it was funny(?) or something.

I would keep it to myself. I could read what he was saying.
We should never make fun of someone for such things.
for one we have no idea what they have gone thru in their life and maybe they have a handicap of some sort.
If someone with Austism, Down Syndrome, etc. and you knew it, would you correct their spelling? I would hope not.
Yahoo Q/A is suppose to be fun, lets make it fun for everyone.

The bad grammar doesn't bother me. The bad spelling is something I find painful.
