pkybrlvr- you are absolutely right. A good example is Borat. He didn't shine a light on anything except that people where showing him what they really believe and turned in to a movie. Now they are suing him because they feel defamed because if they didn't feel what the "masses" feel they would be afraid of being persecuted for their own beliefs.
I feel that if we were able to be better at strong hold then politically correct to everyone this country would be better off then where it is today.
You can't please everyone. Kudos to you!

Open-mindedness is overrated. So many people these days insist you accept everyone's beliefs (tolerating them doesn't seem to be enough) and hold up this ideal of moral relativism where there's no absolute truth. The result is that no one is allowed to believe anything for themselves anymore, because if you really believe what you think is right, logically you HAVE to believe someone else is wrong. So no, I am not that open-minded, and I'm absolutely fine with that because at least I don't compromise a real belief in what I know to be true just to get the liberals off my back.

I freely admit that I am narrow-minded about certain things. I am narrow-minded about:
--not having a "live and let live" philosophy when it comes to a certain nameless Christ-worshipping religion that has my country (USA) in a dogmatic death-grip
--the fact that I don't consider a rap "singer" to be an artist. It doesn't take talent to speak rhythmically, dress like a pimp, and treat women like ho's.
--people in Boston being paranoid lame-o boobs because the Cartoon Network advertising made them think that their city was beset by terrorist bombs. It had a picture of Master Shake on it, for *****'s sake.
--having the opinion that someone who thinks that homosexuality is a sin is somehow retarded. I'm not homosexual, but my best friend killed himself because he thought his dad wouldn't love him because he was gay. The blood of my friend is on the hands of every person who has ever held that belief.

Most of the time, but I do know as I get older, I tend to get more open minded about some things, and less about others.

Sadly liberalism with respect to openmindedness died out in the '60's. Being openminded is not something you see much anymore. Political divisions and those adhering to one side or the other have killed openmindedness.

Yes. I believe that if you agree with democrats and liberals, you are wrong. And if you agree with the Fox News Channel, you are right.
