Good question. There are celebrations, forums to discuss historical milestones and plans for the future, concerts, parades, exhibits at museums discussing the history of African Americans in the U.S., etc.. Where I live there is a Pan African Film Festival, where films created by people throughout the world and representative of the African Diaspora, are viewed. It attracts close to 200,000 people every year.

learn someting.
The things you can learn during black history month are so universal: That the principles our country was founded on were a lie. That injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
Also, what it means to have a dream and what happens to a dream deferred? What does it mean to be a hero?

I don't do anything,I'm "black" everyday. I just tend to avoid people that insist on asking me stupid questions.

Black History Month is a lose-lose situation because white people don't like black people and black people don't like history.
