Tooba, your name is very sweet. its nature of human beings to make fun of anything uncommon.that will increase if u express your dislike. it will be better if u smile when they make fun or if u show them that u r enjoying theirfunny deeds. i know its difficult, but u try to act it out.gradually, it will reduce the tendency of people to make fun. also, respect and love your name,its really v.sweet.

That's an instrument not a name, I'm sorry, but you did say that EVERYONE makes fun of it...I just wanted to be somebody, by th3e way, my name is trumpet. okay seriously, when you are older, people will still make fun of your name, but only the people that really care about you and you will like it. But for now you should just pretend to laugh really hard when people say stuff and then go "gee, i never heard that one before you are so funny" and then abruptly stop laughing .

oh, who gives a hoot what they think! what matters is what YOU think of your name. i have a name that is very rare. the only way anyone's heard of it is from works by edgar allen poe. i used to hate getting comments about it. but when i thought about it, i'd rather have my name then some common name like jessica or amanda. with a name like lenore (or tooba) people are guaranteed to remember you.

I like that name! If people make fun of you for it, just try ignoring it or making it your own. When they call you something, laugh along with them. Don't worry. It's just a name and it tells no one anything about you. It's only there for identity purposes. It's alright.

Turn it into something playful, start calling yourself one of the more milder versions. Or go by a middle name.
My name rhymes with macaroni, I got razzed ALL through school as well.

Well if it bothers you,you could change it. But better to keep it and have fun with it, and realize it is unique! I would as I like my name but it is very common.

There are alot of kids who have names that are easily made fun of. Point out to them that it suits you because it's unique and special.
Kids are just vicious about things like that. Sometimes they grow out of it; sometimes they don't.

sorry....but it is an easy name to make jokes out of. Why don't you go by your middle name?
When you're older, you can switch back (by then, the people you associate with will be [hopefully] more mature).
