something has been adjusted on my pc, everything is on a slope and curved, I have used the menu on the monitor but it's not changing what I need it too. I think there is something in the start menu that changes it but I'm not sure. the tool bar is too long and everything doesn't fit horizontal properly either. Please help!!

It aint the PC, go back to the monitor controls! You must have the trapezoid, tilt, and or pincushion out of adjustment.

I'm guessing you have a CRT monitor? (cathode ray tube)
I will never get an LCD (liquid crystal display) monitor because a CRT gives a lot better picture (I think) and it IS adjustable, which I like. All the LCDs I've seen look like they have a silver background. I want true color. To answer your question:
you have buttons on front of your monitor like on your TV.
There's one there called MENU, press it and go from there.
You have a V button that shows what you want to change and a + or- to fine tune it. You also have a degauss button which you should use about once/month. These monitors tend to store (electrical currents..I need help on this). Anyhow, you can't really destroy your monitor, just change the picture to what you want. If this doesn't solve it (but I'm betting it will), then the problem is in the RESOLUTION. Ask again if necessary, and someone will answer this.

Hi. Many monitors have a way to adjust the slant to correct for magnetic fields (really) and horizontal and vertical size. These are usually controlled by buttons on the front or side of the monitor. Look for these buttons and experiment.

Go to

Start>Programs>Accesories>System Tools>System Restore

Use the System Restore to Restore your computer to an earlier time! When it asks you the date to restore your computer to, pick the date when your PC was alright and not jacked up like you explained!!

NOTE: If you lose any files/folders/programs go back to system restore and choose "Undo my Last Restoration"

You can only restore only three months back!!

Go to your control panel which is under Start.
Then click the Display icon
Click settings and check it
Click Appearance and check the properties

Hopefully this will work
