What do you when you and a friend are having sexual relations, you go out, talk on the phone, but are not gf/bf? You want to take it to a higher level, but feel you might be rejected by your friend? Should you wait for the relationship to progress and let nature take its course or be aggressive about what you want?
Keep in mind that both of us have been hurt very very bad in the past...

I am offended that people are answering this question as if I am the only person here that is having sex! It takes 2 and obviously he wanted to have a sexual relationship with me as bad as I wanted to with him, since we are all over 1 another when we are together... Friends can have sex. Things get messy when one wants to take it to another level... I need feedback that is gonna help me approach him about where our relationship is going, not make me look like a dumbass for having sex with a friend whom I adore and who I am close with. If I was so sure of the outcome, I would've never asked the question!
AND WHERE IS IT WRITTEN IN STONE THAT FRIENDS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE SEX? GIVE ME A BREAK!

If you are having fun, don't mess with it.Let things take their course. If you are dissatisfied, you ned to tell him you are ready to take it to the next level.

Be very careful in "friends with benefits" relationships. I've lost 2 very close friends in situations like that. One wanted to take it to the next level and I didn't, and the other one I did, but he didn't.
Just watch for signs. Does he get jealous when you talk to other guys? Do you get jealous? If your really close, then talk to him. Tell him how your feeling, and let him know that no matter what, you value your friendship and would never want to do anything to jeopardize what you have. If he's not willing to move to the next level, consider ending the "benefits", because you'll just be setting yourself up for heartbreak in the end. If he cares for you, he'll understand.
And please make sure your using protection. Nothing can kill a friendship quicker than an unplanned pregnancy!!

Yo, Dreamgirl,
If you don't want to hear what kind of advice that some people will give to you on this site, and are getting so defensive, maybe you chose the wrong place to ask your questions. That is the chance you take anytime you give an answer or ask a question.
In answer to your question:
Personally, I think that you should not try to do anything and just wait and see what happens.

Maybe you should have established your relationship before you had sex. Morals are part of our lives for a reason. you may as well just speak your mind, what's it gonna hurt, you're already giving up the milk....offer him the whole cow. Good luck!

I think your very wise and also answered your own question. Take time, all the time you need. Let it develop more, and I think you both will live happy ever after.

First of all how old is this person? Second leave the sexual relashions when your married. Thirdly don't even encourage that kind of stuff with your friend unless you are certain that you are going with him or her for the rest of your life!

Don't rush because it might scare them away. If you go to fast to soon you'll loose them. So take it slow and "let nature take it's course".
