It really depends on the test. Most over the Internet use an incorrect grading scale, or score it wrong intentionally wanting you to buy your full report. And most school iq tests test your iq based on the other students taking the test with you, which, again is inconclusive. However, when I took mine, i was in the 9th grade, i went to a college and took it. The told me that on the real IQ tests that 0 to 100 is basic, 101 to 129 was average, and 130 and up meant you were a genius. On that particular test, which was supposed to be the one Einstein and Hawking took, 400 was the highest, and Einstein got 330, and Hawking had 380. I scored 190. But for a 15 year old, anywhere between 120 and maybe 140.

yes, 120 is average to above average. (average is 100, but technically can range from 80-120). a difference of 40 from the mean (100) means exceptionality (ie, a a 60 or lower means mental retadardation and 140 or above means genius).

of course, your score is only valid if measured by an actual IQ test, administered by someone who is trained to give them...it wasn't an online test, right?! :-)

yathay - that's no longer how IQ exams paintings. they're in accordance with typical deviation, no longer probabilities. 109 isn't 9% smarter. The ineffective usually happening is one hundred. Very not often human beings score precisely one hundred. maximum definitely everyone seems to be a somewhat above or under. in maximum situations, maximum individuals score between 70-one hundred thirty. It relies upon what try you took, however. that's fake to think of there is just one scale. There are in certainty diverse scales, with purely the 100pt usually happening in common. eg. a hundred and twenty would desire to be very solid on one try, yet one hundred forty would desire to be approximately usually happening on yet another. maximum exams conform kind of to the 70-one hundred thirty rule, yet to be common, a score potential little or no except coupled with the size. a internet try isn't solid in any respect. Sorry! xD additionally, IQ isn't relative to age. Your IQ would not oftentimes improve or cut back with age. So in case you have been to take a ideal, supervised try now, then yet another in thirty years, threat is you will score kind of a similar. i do no longer think of US Mensa will try those under sixteen, yet uk Mensa will try those as youthful as ten and a million/2.

Very good. The norm runs between 80 and 120 so your score is on the high side.

an iq score is evaluated based on age. so for any age, the average iq is 100. above 100 is then above average, so good job!
