Home Depot is so convenient. Has helpful and friendly employees. I love the paint section. So many colors and so many books to give you great ideas. And the number one thing I like best is the truck out in front of the store that sells those great hotlinks. Yummmm, wish I had one now

They have everything I ever need! And usually the guys there are pretty helpful and can make some recommendations as to materials and building processes. I had one guy sit there for like 2 hours helping me figure out how to build something I wanted. He was so patient and knowledgable. I love Home Depot. :-)

I have been in 10 or 15 HD's in my working life. I've found very little to like. In my experience, they seldom have everything I need for a project, especially in the electrical department, there are never enough sales people, and the sales staff is more often than not inexpereinced in what they are aelling.
I'll go to Lowes anytime if given the chance.

I enjoy the freedom not to shop there. I placed four orders for one project. They screwed up four out of four orders. They substitute without asking, the lumber had kerfs, bags of concrete were broken, doors were the wrong size, and deliveries were late. I've vowed to buy local from now on. I spend a little more, but get a better quality product, better service, and am contributing to the local economy. I encourage everyone to buy local. Let's show those superstores that they do not have a monopoly.

I can get what I need FAST.
I love the "cut the lumber" for a small fee.
DYI- me can't cut a straight line and don't like to use saws when I'm home alone, so its great, they do it for me and I just put it up and paint. Bam!

The fact that company operatives go to internet message/answer boards to post inane questions about how much we love a company that paid off its crooked CEO $200 million dollars, kills off mom-and-pop hardware stores, and is an anchor tenant in the great ugly mall that America is turning into.
