I hope you aren't talking about ebay. If you are, do a yahoo search for ebay sucks & see what you discover. I wasted 5 years on ebay & lost money. How about a job instead? Wish I knew then what I know now. People want good deals is the answer to your question.

i found that demand is over the price...ask them what they need...dont put a price on it, let them......you know barter with em.......meaning someone might want something more than i want it, and my put a better price on it than what i would sell it for., just ask em what ya give me for it, and go from there
