Can anyone provide an example of "Israel supporting America"?

that doesn't boil down to Israel helping itself? One recent answerer claimed that "Israel always votes with the US at the UN...even when no other country will".

Guess what? MOST countries vote with the US at the UN, UNLESS the issue is condemning Israel! Then the United States stands alone, along with good old "loyal ally" Israel!

So Israel not interfering while we went to war against their biggest enemy is an example of Israel supporting America? Wake up people!

If we didn't support Israel in such a one-sided way, Americans tourists would be welcome in Beirut or Baghdad. And frankly, I would much rather visit those cities, especially Baghdad!

So Israel refuses to accept UN resolutions calling for withdrawal and the right of return, which the US does, and that's SUPPORTING America? Give me a break!

Israel is a 60 year old entity manufactured by the US and forced down the UN's throat. Europe happily voted for this new entity for their own reasons. Britain showed some sense and abstained from the vote. This did them no good as Jewish terrorists blew up the Hotel King David where British military officers were stationed thus encouraging the British to withdraw. The US drew the borders presumably to the specifications given by God in the Old Testament. Refresh my memory, just what were the boundaries given by God to his people and how did the US become God's representative on Earth. There was a minor entity called Israel about 2500 years ago which was historically insignificant yet somehow has managed to bounce back as the most important nation on Earth albeit illegitimate. Who else that died 2500 years ago has been allowed to steal land from the people who have lived there for those same 2500 years? Israel is not America's puppet but history will show if the opposite is true. At the moment they are one and the same. Israel is America and America is Israel.

The reason most countries often vote with America, is because they are out to get something...mainly American Aid...Money!
Israel is an ally and always will be no matter which administration is in. They are the only real friend we have in that part of the world, but you can be assured they want our money too.

Well, without spending any time on it at all, how about Gulf War I, when Israel didn't fire a shot in her own defense against frequent Iraqi attacks, thus keeping the Coalition together?

Or do you want MORE examples? And I think you'll find MOST countries support other nations when it helps them. That's pretty much standard. You'll note France, Germany, and Russia claimed to be on our side but were violating all the Iraqi sanctions from day one.

Israelis didn'd dance in the streets, celebrating 9/11 like a lot of the other Mid East countries did, even though many of those celebrating it decided to believe it was a Jewish plot, not radical Islamic terrorists. This would probably qualify as moral support if nothing else. Israelis also hold numerous Nobel prizes for medical and scientific advancements, many of them benefiting the United States.

The U.S.A. is very large and Israel is very small. They can do little to help us that we can't do for ourselves.
While imperfect, Israel is a democratic nation where it's people have a large degree of self-determination. And there they are, in the middle of a hoard of tyrants and religious zealots who would commit genocide on them in a heartbeat without our help.
I say help the little guy and kick the snot out of the bullies if they come against our friends.

Israel provides us with intel not available elsewhere & Israeli developed equipment is being used on the front lines in Iraq. Most countries do NOT always vote with the US, whether Israel is involved or not. A lot of what Israel does for us will never be known.
Why are you so hostile towards Israel? Do you dislike Democracy or do you dislike Jews?

They have spent a lot of time training some of our anti-terrorist teams on how to deal with terrorists. It's not so much the fact that they support us as the fact that they are in the same boat as we are that makes them very good allies......radical muslims want both of our countries destroyed....would you rather we sided with the muslims? Israel doesn't send suicide bombers into civilian crowds to kill as many people as possible, and they do what they can to keep civilians from being harmed when they make military strikes of their own.

Israel wanted badly to help in both gulf wars.. but we did not allow them because it would have been a catalyst for the muslems to declare a Jihad on the jewish people and start a regional firestorm
