I went for an interview for a job I'm really interested in. Now I'm not worried that I won't get employed, but of how the company's name is not very impressive and serious. It has a name that sounds frivolous but I can see that it is a decent runnign business.

Would the name of the company reflect badly on my choice of job for future employers, because that's all they'll see on my resume?

Thanks!

In what way is the name "frivolous"? In my opinion, "Apple" is a not serious name and I bet it would look great on a resume.

I wouldn't worry too much about the company's name, unless it was pornographic or obscene.

And a note for your future, if you start looking for your next job before you leave this job (which is the way to get better offers and perks, btw) you shouldn't list your current employer by name anyways. Always use "Confidential Industry Company" in place of the name. For instance with an Apple employee, the "name" of their current job would be "Confidential Computer Hardware/Software Company"

Good luck on the job.
