people are weird when it comes to homosexuality.
people who disagree with it, seem to find it OK to bash it openly, even directly to those involved.
although i do not agree with homosexuality, i do not believe that homosexuality makes a person any less human, and a lot of my friends are gay. they know i don't like it, but they know that i think its a sin, and i sin to so we are still equals as humans, even if we are meant to strive to win the battles against our sins.
I'm sorry you were hurt, don't let people get you down with their words.
There is a Jesus who died for you because he loved you, and he would never call you a "carpet muncher" even though he doesn't like parts of the life you lead.
sorry if that seems forced, i just want you to know that people say hurtful things to defend themselves when they don't know what else to do.
its hard, but try to not dwell on it.

I am so sorry. Even in American schools today kids say "That's Gay." I can tell you from past expeirences that it really hurts to be insulted like that. I wish there was a way to take out the 'evil' gene in a person and replace it with a 'nice' one. It's not fair especially since some people feel that they are homosexual as a "mental condition" or from birth.

People can be so rude about things they don't understand. Give it time, I guess. I feel bad that I can't really say anything else. It's a cruel world and I doubt it'll get much better, but give it time. I get into that situation so much and I just respond with an insult. It's the way to do it, don't let it really bother you. I'm the type of person that laughs it off, and it works for me. Just find what works for you.

Some people are azzholes and have to put down others who aren't the same as them. They're insecure about themselves and this makes them feel better about themselves in some sick way. Guaranteed if you were at one of my parties and someone insulted you like that there would be a major problem. A couple years ago we had a big BBQ. One of my husband's friend's wives called one of my gay friends a "f@g". That pissed me right off. I got into a fight with her and made her fat azz leave. The b*tch has not been allowed on my property since.

Good question, I think some people just thrive on being hateful to others. They like pointing out qualities in others that most find controversial. I hope someone stood up for you! Or that you had a good comeback..

Im sorry!
I would advise you not to hang around those people again.
If they make you feel bad they don't need to be your friends.
Find friends that will accept you for you, who will not be all stupid and make jokes just to make others laugh.
Keep your head up.

People often make jokes when they find themselves in a situation that makes them uncomfortable or to hide their ignorance. I wouldn't let it bother you and try not to take it personally. It says more about them and nothing at all about you. That person is a dikhead!

The best thing to do when anyone insults you that way is to simply ignore them. I wouldn't give the time of day to such an ignoramus. Their goal is to make you feel bad and humiliate you. Don't give them the satisfaction. Let them be the ones who are humiliated by their stupid, bigoted remarks.

Because it makes them feel better. You can't change them so don't try. Live your life your own way, do good deeds for others. Ignore the negative people as much as you can.

Some people are offended religiously by sexual preference. So people that are mean make jokes about it. Ignore them; don't sweat the small stuff.
