You can watch something as wonderfully oddball as Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet and learn everything there is to know about group dynamics/sociology.
Would you rather spend a semester watching Meerkat Manor and learning easily understood rules of interaction that apply to everything in life....or studying an entire nation of millions of people and trying to figure them out?
Me, I know which one I'd choose.

It depends what you are looking for. Both are pieces of the puzzle that explain the complicated process of social interaction. I would say micro if you are looking for individuals and small group behavior and macro for a more global answer. Both outlooks are very useful and have their strengths and weaknesses. It is easier in micro studies to determine personal thoughts and behavioral processes. And in macro studies the primary source of information are numbers (quantitative) or patterns of behavior.

No, I tell you why. It helps you understand how things are managed whether on a global scale (macro) or local scale (micro). It helps you understand about economics, and how economy is being handled . It helps you understand the industrial revolation and where it is heading into the future. good enough, yes?

Social life is best understood on a micro level.
It is mostly about how people interact on a personal level.

if you're asking about economics, then it's macro. macro talks about the big picture, micro is about individual companies.
