I just had my ears pierced a few days ago, no problem at all. Tonight, I just took a shower and I followed the rules that after you use any hair products or anything, wash your ears with the solution they give you. I did all that and now the back of my ears where they are pierced are annoying me. They are giving off and itchy burning feeling. I checked for swelling and any other sign of infection and it looks like I'm safe on the part. Has this happened to any one of you guys or is this normal?

umm if you have more than one piering on your ear then take out the ones that were there already just only leave the one you just pierce in your ear becayse it might inflect the others or got inflected from others, then use those solution things you got or rubbing alcohol they work as well too, and put them on your pierced ears 2-3 times a day do not take out your pierced ear because not only doesnt it not stop hurting but you will have a hole on your ear but cannot put a earring thru and once you can take out your stunned earrings wear some different stunned for about2 more weeks before wearing danglings ones. trust me

Yes I'd say its normal. Others might not say it is and recommend that you take your earrings out right away. Try cleaning them less than what is recommended. Sounds wrong, I know. But the last time I got mine pierced (I have five in each ear - including the top/cartledge) I was told to clean them three times a day.....and mine did what yours are doing...so I took it down to twice a day....and it diminished some...but not all the way.....so then I went down to once a day and they got better.

I'd give it a week.....and you should be okay.

On the other hand, if they do start to swell and get worse....then I would say take your earrings out ASAP and consider seeing your doctor as you may need an antibiotic to get rid of the infection.

Everyone is different.....

Good luck!

It feels like someone put pressure on your ear with their thumb and index finger. Be sure to get someone with experience to do it. That means yes i think you should get them pierced. You dont want crooked holes or uneven piercings. Yes, your ear can get infected if you dont clean them properly. Most piercings that end up infected come from soap that was not properly rinsed from around the piercing and dirty earrings. Leave the earrings in the first 10 ten days, using antiseptic to clean between the skin and the earring. Thats were the dort gets caught. After 10 days, have mom remove the earrings and clean the ear, pierced hole and earrings, replacing them immediately. Pierced ears heal quickly without an earring in them.

My ears were pierced so many years ago by a doctor, that I don't recall if that happened to me.
Just keep an eye on the situation, and follow the guidelines you've been following. If it gets worse, then of course contact your doctor. Your ear lobes may be just adjusting to the piercing and be very sensitive. But it sounds like you are being careful.

I have about 4 ear piercings. its completly normal. Just your ears aren't used to this and they are checking if its okay. Just use the solution every day. Well, I never used the solutiion no matter what and I never had a problem. But everyones different.

Well I've had my ears peirced nine times, and I can honestly tell you you're fine. Just keep putting the solution they give you on and they'll heal normally. When I got my lobes done, I never even used that stuff and they healed fine. When I got my cartilidge done I used the solution all the time and they still got infected, but they all healed within time.

dude i have f-ed up ears and i usually get them infected they will feel that way for a week or so when you clean them the reason why is because its like when you get an open wound it burns and stings just the tinnyest bit b/c its healin dont worry about it. if it goes on any longer and starts to get red and puffy though you may be sensitive to "fake" earing and you may need sterling sivler earings only ( just generally its the same thing they are jujst a lil bit more exspensive)
chillax dude

I think it's normal. Your ears are trying to heal itself and close the hole. It will take a few weeks for your ears to heal around the hole and stop trying to fill it in.
As long as it's not infected I think you are okay... Also, make sure your earrings are clean. It might be the reason why your ears are irritated.

yeah, when i got mine pierced they got infected a couple times...it was painful and just annoying. you probably just didn't wash them thoroughly enough. make sure you always not only wash your ears, but wash the earring itself. try not to touch it with dirty hands and let things get caught in them (like hair). the more you're able to keep them clean as always, the better off your ears will be.
