i watched this on the history channel last week. The disease is from germs that were passed on to the incas from the spanish. The germs come from the domestic animals that the spanish raise. Ex, pigs goats. The spanish have lived with these animals for YEARS and there fore are not effected by them. The only animal the incas had were camels. A large number were killed during the war and the remaining died from the sickness. Also remember the spanish had weapons, guns, which the incas have never seen or heard of before. There civalization is nothing compared to the spanish. The spanish slaughtered the incas took their leader hostage. They ended up leaving with alot of gold and silver.

They became extinct because of the avaricious Spaniards who conquered them. Inca Civilization one of the major Civilizations in the World in South America was thriving for about 370 years with wealth and culture. Their vast empire was spread all through the Andes Mountain Ranges from the modern States of Ecuador to Chile in south. The Spaniards used the same tactics that are being used today by US in Iraq, conquered this Great Nation and played treachery and deceit on the Inca kings in the name of Christianity and Spanish Power. Ultimately in 1572 the Conquerors murdered the last Inca king and brutally repressed their people, and spread their diseases and systematically destroyed their rich culture. This was one of the great Historical misfortunes.

the inca civilization was destroyed by the Spanish - through wars and through the introduction of diseases.
They are not extinct. The central and South Americans are infact the descendants of those peoples who were conquered by the Spanish.

I am no expert, but, just last night on PBS, in the middle of the night, was a full one hour special on the Inca tribes, and the mummies of a couple small children. I know that you can google NOVA and ANTHROPOLOGY and will surly get a real good description on how to watch this special again.

This question has a lot to do with science. But let's throw science in the trash for a moment. (i'm a devout person and that i consider in God, additionally no offense to anybody of other religions.) did not God say within the Bible that He would in no way totally wipe out the human race as He did with Noah and his Ark? And in addition believe about this factor, WHY WOULD received CREATE US IF HE had been GOING TO ruin US in the FIRST position? He would not smash all of the care He took in growing us. Additionally He loves us and would certainly not kill us off. He may punish us for doing some thing fallacious but He constantly forgives us. So He will not smash the planet due to the fact of our unsuitable doings. I consider he's going to support us clear up this challenge. We can undergo with the intention to a solution that you may be sure of that (in the event you do not agree with me learn the bible, there may be an answer. We endure and God knows it.) however we are going to find the solution. This clarification is just right adequate for me. But what if we don't suppose in God? Too bad for you, i'm not going into the scientific cause and absolutely pushing aside God. It's outright disrespectful to Him. So the answer to your query is that there isn't an reply to your detailed question. We will not come to be extinct and the Earth is not going to die out given that, as I simply mentioned, we are not going to come to be extinct.
