just be careful, some people get carried away once they start piercing end end up with a million stupid looking rings in their ears (like my good friend) and it just becomes tacky. if she won't let you get the second piercing, check out your local cheap jewelry store (like claire's or the icing). when i was in middle school (about 8 years ago) they used to make magnetic earrings that looked like studs, which is all you really put in the second hole anyway.

also, definitely don't pierce them yourself or get someone else's mom to pretend to be your guardian so you can get it done at the mall. when your mom sees them, she will be pissed off and will make you take them out which will suck because it hurts to get them pierced and there is the possibility of infection. then when she sees you went behind her back she'll say she can't trust you and add that as another reason to her list of why you can't have your ears pierced.

Do you only have one ear pierced then? Or do you have both ears pierced to wear your earings, and want another piercing? I can understand if you only have one ear pierced and you want to pierce the other ear lobe. But you have to ask your mom first.

You are only in the fifth grade, and as long as you are still a minor and living at home with your parents, you should respect them, and listen to them.
Besides, why do you want to act like and look like everyone else in your class and at school? The prettiest girls are the one who are individuals.

Hmmm....well, i was not allowed to until 6th grade. I had to compromise with my Mom ALOT!!! it will be hard but i am sure you can. You have to show her that you can be responsible. Clean your room and when she comments on it say, "I know, aren't i responsible." then leave. Keep being all nice and respectful and do everything you are told. Then maybe after a while bring up the ears again. If she says no, don't whine, don't yell just say "OK, I respect that." She is probably testing u. If you just say that and leave it at that, it is showing MAJOR responsibility. YOu know, don't bring it up allllll the time, just once in a while. Hope that helps!!!!!

Ha....my mom won't let me get a second piercing until I move out...I don't think anything is going to convince you're mom (especially not whining).
If you want to try anyway, try telling them the reasons you want a second piercing...have a reasonable, adult discussion. Also, prove that you are responsible. That means no whining. Clean your room, do your chores, do your homework...all w/o being told to.

I have a cartilage piercing (top of ear). at first my mom wouldnt let me. I know a lot of people who have that. but you are in the fifth grade so i can see where she is coming from. to increase your chances of her saying yes, dont fight about it. that will just make you look immature.

If you really want them pierced keep tryin to work on your mom. I bet eventually she'll let you. But if shes stubborn, just wear bigger earrings so you wont need the double hole to fill out your ears
