Don't get her any clothes, dude...that's too tough for us guys to buy.
My suggestion...I wouldn't worry about how much money you spend, just make it a really personal gift and make sure you buy a card and take some time to write something meaningful on it.
Card's are usually an after-thought for us, but it's really the part girls appreciate the most.
I like the idea of a teddy bear...or stuffed animal. And get a nice card. Work on what you want to say (basically exactly how you feel).

So basically I'm twelve too and I am the girlfriend of another 12 year old, lol. And here is what I would love to get from my guy.
Probably a card that tells me what he feels about me (without freaking me out with way too sentimental things). Tell me I'm special or beautiful or something. Then I would probably like some perfume from like bath and body works, or OOh some from victoria secrets that smells like chocolate. its so good! either that, or I like everyone's idea of getting her a stuffed animal. She'd really see your soft side of things if you got her a cute one.

If she is girly, find her fave perfume, or give her a 20$ giftcard to her fave store, or just all day @ school, Bring her a few nice flowers or one rose, then buy her her lunch at school. and if your school has a valentines day message system, buy one of those. plus give her a big "romantic" hug/kiss. That should do... but dont blame me if she doesn't like it. You know her better than I.

Hmmmmm. Get her a bunch of red roses. Or get her some perfume. Or get her a bath set. Like with Body wash, lotion and spray. Either of these three should be good.
