A publisher takes the bigger chunk of the sales of a CD. They make the performer earn more money because they can manufacture thousands of CDs and distribute them nation and world wide.

She's obviously delusional if she think she will get any money from her record company.

How do the publishers make money? They take about 75% of the profits from every CD sold. Musicians make their money with concerts and merchandising, not by selling CDs through a label

There are two sides to the coin.

Publishers make a certain % from each CD sold. The artist makes a certain % as well.

Usually, the artist has a Manager (they get a % also).
