Because Israel supports us.....they are our only true ally in the Middle East, as well as the only stable country over there.....they know what it takes to deal with terrorism, and they have helped to train us after 9/11 because of their experience......we also share the same enemy, as the radical muslims want both of our countries destroyed......and to the people who said it was for money, where the heck are we making money off of them?

I think, Lot of Jews are in control of USA, or at least they have sensitive posts also they're wealthy group of people, so government is always pushed by them to support Israel. the other reason can be that, US needs a puppet in middle east to serve them as an active agent, so US can keep an close eye on it's benefits and interests in the region.

The Bush administration fervently supports DEMOCRACY. Several past administrations have also favored DEMOCRACIES. This is not hard to understand considering America is a DEMOCRACY. The United States, when we were more primitive, used to favor Arab countries because of their oil supply. Tell them to get over it!
