Yes
I remember those "good old days" when the Soviets blackmailed gays out of classified info with the threat of "outing " them. Both of those threats are gone, now.
I also remember days when blacks weren't allowed equal access to public places. Now they are. Is that also, "trendy"?

Yes I do, and I'm glad they're "out", a few that I knew and grew up with are alot happier and mentally healthier. So I do remember the days, and am forever grateful that they basically are over!!!

I think people are a lot more liberal minded now than they were in the "good old days". However, there is still a great deal of prejudice regarding anyone who is different. And until society learns to accept people on their merit instead of their skin color, their national origin, or their lifestyle, the world will always be an alien and unfriendly place for those people, unfortunately. We are all equal in the eyes of God, but not in the eyes of our fellow man. By your question, I would judge you to be one of those who thinks he is better than others. Listen up, my friend. You're not!

Who said it was trendy? Were born gay/lesbian just as people are born straight. People that are "scared to come out of the closet is only because of people like you and society.

I remember the good old days when people like you wouldn't dare say this to anyone's face for fear of being smacked. Gotta love the internet. It's a bigot's playground.

I like the good new days when haters have to stay in the closet.
Science tells us almost everyone who hates gays really is afraid of their attraction to the same sex and they hope by hating on gays the feeling will go away.
It won't. You'll be looking for loving from the same sex pretty soon.

Oh, yea. When all the so called "loving and tolerant" religious people were making laws discriminating against them. Oh, wait. That's today.
