I plan to get breast implants, however, I do not want to go to a general plastic surgeon; I would like to find one that specializes in breast augmentation. I have searched this on google and can not find it. If it were in the Texas area that would be best. :)

I am doing it for myself. From my waist to my shoulders I look like a 12 year old kid and I am in my twenties. Anyone that looked like this would want them too. I dont need lectures, I just want to know how I can find a doctor who specializes in breast augmentation.

http://www.locateadoc.com
http://www.breasthealthonline.com (you can ask for recommendations as well as gain advice from others who have had augmentations).

There is another site and I can't think of the name.

You might want to consult your own physician. He will have details on who is currently involved in that type of surgery. Local hospitals usually have a department that also deals with mammary surgery and will be able to provide you with names of surgeons close to you that you can interview.
I suggest you do interview them as well and find the one you feel gives you the most information without patronizing you. Lots of drawings and explanations about the procedure, the risks and the side effects and the time you will be in hospital. Also find out who the anesthetist is too and interview more than one of them as well . He will be looking for allergies, drug reactions and you familiarity with both the operation and the anesthetic.

He should offer to see you before your surgery and at the time you enter the operation and immediately after to ensure you have recovered properly from the anesthetic.

If you get this treatment then these are the people to put your trust in, any less and i would be running a mile. Good luck!

I hope you're not offended by this but I'm looking to have the same surgery and this is how I've been looking into doctors. Go to strip clubs in your area or somewhere where women are topless (because most of these women have had the surgery) and ask the girls with good boob jobs who did their surgery. All the girls that I have asked have been really nice and they don't judge you for wanting implants. They'll also usually tell you how much they paid and if the doctor is a nice guy or a jerk. I found a great doctor in california this way, but I moved to vegas before I had the nerve to do it, so I'm starting over.
Anyways, good luck to you.

Why don't you find a very reputable cosmetic/plastic/reconstructive surgeon and ask him/her for reference or referral to the specific type of doc you are looking for. Maybe he/she will have a better connection being in the business. If he/she is truly interested in helping you, he/she shouldn't have a problem sending you to the specialist of your choosing.

Breast augmentation surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

Why don't you go across the border to Mexico or to one of the Central or South American countries like Costa Rica, Brazil, Panama or Argentina? Even Asian countries like India, Thailand and Singapore are great choices. They do it for 80% less as compared to the US and that too at some of the best hospitals in the world.

A friend of mine went to India for her breast augmentation (augmentation mammoplasty) and nose surgery (rhinoplasty). Check out Healthbase (http://www.healthbase.com). They are a medical tourism facilitator. My friend used it and they seem to be pretty good. They will connect you to good quality hospitals overseas. You can check out hospital and surgeon profiles on their website and even correspond with the surgeons.

Hope that wasn't a lecture and that it helps!

You don't need to do anything except to learn to love your own body. That includes working on your perception of your body as opposed to you body itself.
