They won't repeat. They will make the playoffs again, but they just don't have the best team in the NL anymore. They just got lucky last year. There are several strong NL teams.

I Love all these people saying the Cardinals are a 1 hit wonder. They've had one of the best teams for 5-6 years now and got rewarded for all there hard work over those years by winning the WS in 06.The Central has been ours for quite some time, and I see another NL Central flag flying at Busch this year.Hard Work pays off as it did for The Birds on the Bat in 06.
As for repeat as WS Champs it could happen,
I'm ready for the season to start and lets see what happens

I'm a Cardinals fan, but I don't think this current roster can make it all the way. Now, keep in mind that Walt Jocketty is the best man in the business at stealing players at the deadline. We could pull out a Dontrelle Willis or someone for some young talent such as Chris Duncan or some other decent prospects like Reid Gorecki, John Nelson, Shaun Boyd, Skip Schumaker, or Carmen Cali.

Unfortunately I don't think they are the same team that won 105 games, then 100 games, then the World Series in the last three years. Except for Carpenter they have a new rotation. The lineup will still be good, and if Izzy is healthy, I think they can contend. So much rides on Reyes, Wainwright, Wells, and which ever pitcher they stick in at #5.

As a Cardinal fan I have to say that I hope they do repeat and become world champs again. They have a whole season to work towards it and I think they can pull it off.

they aint gonna win it all this year cause the atlanta braves are going to surprise everybody. John smoltz is going to go straight nasty. Mike Hampton is healthy all year, and Tim Hudson will break out of his slump and get at least 15 wins. We finally added to our bullpen and will be able finish off the games that we start. They're goin to be a little weak on the right side of the infield but we can make up for that. Atlanta Braves=World Series Champions in 2007

as a cardinal's fan i sure hope so. but in my mind right now they aren't going to repeat. unless Walt can pull a rabbit out of his hat and get another starter or two. And they also need to get a different right fielder, instead of Juan. And they need to teach Duncan how to catch a fly ball.

The bullpen desires to be greater consistent and key gamers alongside with Berkman would desire to make contributions after injuries. it might desire to take place yet no NL group has repeated via fact the super purple gadget in 'seventy 5 and 'seventy six.

Their win in 2006 was a fluke. They weren't that good of a team then, and they've gone downhill.
OF course not.
