I have a Valentines day date that I would really like to impress. We're going to a pretty cool, trendy restaurant/bar kind of place that should be really fun and romantic at the same time. I'm almost a little embaressed to ask but I rarely drink out and I'm wondering if anybody has any suggestions on what would be a classy, yet still yummy drink I should order. Wine? cocktail? beer? kind of a dumb question... i just really don't want to have no clue what to order since I'm not a huge wine drinker and such... please help

I'd go with one of these - if you don't usually drink go light, go slow and make sure it's a flavor you like:
Strawberry Kiss -The Tequila Rose used in this recipe gives the drink it's pink color. While the chocolate liqueur and half and half smooth out the flavor for a rich Valentine's Day favorite.
Chocolate Martini - Indulge yourself with this light chocolate martini rimmed with cocoa and garnished with a chocolate covered strawberry.
Strawberry Flapper - The perfect fruit drink for two. This strawberry flavored Champagne cocktail is perfect for a romantic evening served with chocolate covered strawberries.

Maybe check the restaurant's website or reviews to see if there's something they do really well. Or, ask your server when you get there. But...I think you'll impress your date more by being confident and enthusiastic than by ordering a trendy drink that you may or may not like. Have fun!

A Cosmopolitan. Pretty and Yummy. Vodka, cranberry juice, triple sec and lime juice shaken with ice and strained into a martini glass -- sometimes rimmed with sugar and a lemon or lime wedge. Slightly sweet drink and the cranberry makes it pinkish. You don't drink much, so limit yourself to just one and drink it slowly and if you start to feel the buzz, don't finish it. Tipsy isn't that impressive.

If you want to go a little easier, just order an amaretto on ice. Quite sweet so just sip. Have a great date!

If you don't drink often, go for the LIGHT stuff!! Such as a strawberry daquari, strawberry margarita, wine coolers, champaigne, or kahlua & cream!

Personally, I prefer the strawberry daquari!! And, it looks good!!! Nice red color for Valentine's Day!!

Look, if you try to impress him he may think you like him a little TOO much. Just be casual, normal, drink soda and some fries or something. Be yourself and he'll like you even more. People start to freak out if someone can't do what they usually do when they're around themselves. But if you be yourself around him, he'll know that he and you can just relax together.

Try a Cosmo. If your bartender is good, you'll like it. They are strong so take your time and sip.
