Classical guitar sounds much clearer than acoustic because its strings are 3 steel, 3 nylon. An acoustic has all steel strings which are not as clear when plucked, especially when using nails and not fingers.

Classical guitars have a different look and a slightly different sound. Think Spanish guitar sound. They also usually use nylon strings instead of steel strings, which contributes to the difference in sound.
