Interesting thought. I have also wondered about the possibility. Forget the possible Oscar & Peace Prize. In 2000, the election was his to lose, & he did. Most of that was his "Three Faces of Eve" performance during the debates.
The Democratic field is crowded this election cycle, & it is possible the Convention could become deadlocked. Frankly, I don't see either Hillary or Obama or anyone else in the race, as someone the whole party could rally around if the race was close before the convention opens. Gore has the credentials & could bring back unity as the Dark Horse, or draft, candidate, IMHO. But to enter the race now would only further split the Party.. However, he needs to be Al Gore, & not try to be what he thinks we want him to be. I believe he has matured that much since 2000..

Do any Dems comprehend how the electoral college works? This is not the first time a person has won the popular vote, but lost the election.
The "massive voter fraud" which was claimed by Jesse Jackson and the like, turned out to be in Democratic districts. Also, the "unbiased media" were reporting a Gore victory hours before the polls closed, in an effort to keep Republicans from voting.
Ths Supreme Court eventually put a stop to the perpetual "recounts". Dems wanted to keep counting until the numbers came out in their favor. Remember dimpled chads, hanging chads, and pregnant chads? If people can't punch a f%&*ing hole in a ballot, why the hell should their vote count? Oh yeah, by law, it doesn't. But hey, Dems never let the law stop them, right?
But Al Gore is going to save the world from global warming, or maybe it's his pathetic way of staying in the spotlight. Otherwise, he would already be forgotten.

hello. i'm from the U.ok. so would first choose to admit i comprehend little approximately U.S. politics. besides the undeniable fact that for my section he will win the election all be it via default. i've got faith via massive mess Bush has made the two international and at domicile interior the financial device the yank human beings have thoroughly misplaced faith with him and his cronies. via default for this reason i've got faith the Republicans are unlikely to win the election as such fairly a number of the 'guy on the line' human beings basically choose a metamorphosis. So given the Democrats are probably to win the subsequent election I see the race for the nomination is basically about a race for the Whitehouse. Clinton looks completely untrustworthy. basically like her hubbie she seems some distance too smarmy, too cheesy, basically no longer likely a man or woman of any integrity. i'm getting the sensation that if she theory it might win her votes she would say and do besides the fact that she had to. So i think of that Obama will win the nomination and then the election. no longer via fact he's so solid yet via fact Clinton is so undesirable. I reckon your next president would be not greater efficient than the better of a bad BUNCH. do no longer difficulty, right here interior the united kingdom we've had just about 11 years of rubbish management. it seems to me politicians the worldwide over are basically self concentrated egotistical individuals who're basically potential mad. in the event that they actually had to serve the community why no longer make it a minimum salary job and then see what proportion would stay i it?

If you were on the receiving end of a coup, would you wish to run again? He won the last election by 5 million votes and still lost the power battle in Florida over massive voter fraud etc. Even the Supreme Court was scandalously involved. Once you have seen that, I would surely imagine that once is more than enough. Obviously he believes enough in humanity to run with global warming as an avocation, but I'm sure he has said goodbye to politics as a candidate.
I would consider voting for him again, but have no hope he will try.

I think people who cannot carry their own state in a national election are a little reluctant to run again. It sort of tells the rest of the nation, the home folks know more than a lot of others do.

I know he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, but this is the first I've heard about an academy award. What for? An Inconvenient Truth?
Anyway, maybe all the corruption in our government makes him sick.

Al Gore realized after 9/11 that he would have totally been out of his depth and decided to stick to inventing things that have already been invented, and to make films about global warming.

after what he went through the first time, you think he wants to do THAT again? Criminey! I'd never run for president just having watched that fiasco.
