MORE Photoshop help needed?

I'm having some serious problems with photoshop, I cant use the brush tool, the eraser tool ect...,the drop menus(like when you click on file or edit or whatever) wont show and I can't even close it photoshop! It always makes this weird sound when I try to close it. Help?!
