I've been so used to bringing my blackberry. When I learned that I'd be relocated in the Philippines, I left it at home. Now am going back to Spain and I wanna bring my blackberry but up until now nobody really knows if I can use it here.... Can anyone tell me what brand I should buy that will work here in the Philippines?

I heard that blackberry can be use in the Philippines but make sure it is unlocked... the only problem some features might not work... emails etc... People who use blackberry in the Philippines have corporate accounts (like company's paying for it)... If you'll use it for phoning and text then it's ok.. if you want more i suggest that you apply for contract (pay monthly)...

I would also suggest that you contact the major cellular/mobile companies in the country and ask them if they can support the make and model of your blackberry. I know the two biggest ones are offering "blackberry support" for some of their smart phones. They are also offering blackberrys (or at least they used to); and they charge a monthly fee or "plan" for the service.

What you need to do is buy the phone that you can use all over the world. Sprint sells one below for $500. Other companies have them too. In the LONG run is where you save your money.

Travel around the world and stay connected with this versatile device. This world phone uses the Sprint CDMA/EV-DO networks in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, and roams on CDMA and/or GSM networks (voice) and GPRS networks (data) outside of North America.
