Have you ever had an Iguana before? Do you have experience with reptiles? If both of those answers were no then don't get an Iguana. They get 7-8ft long and need a cage bigger than that. Plus they cost alot to up keep, $15 for the lizard, $5-25 water and food dish, $40-50 for and UV light and socket, $40 for a Ceramic heat emitter, $500-3,000 or more for the proper sized cage, Vet bills, sky high electric bills and food bills. Do alot of research first.

I don't know what city you live nearby. So, the cheapest prices are often found at big brand outlets - IE. Pet Smart - but, local pet stores often have sales. Go by and ask them when their iguana stock will come onto sale. Then, go for it.

There are hundreds of them on petfinder. People buy them when they are small and then find that they cant keep such a large animal so they bring them to shelters. You eventually have to give an iguana his own room basically.
