I KNOW THAT PHOTONS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE MASSLESS BUT GRAVITY AFFECTS THEM, SO WHAT GIVES?

the rest mass of a photon is zero according to general relativity

gravity affects photons by bending space time , not by acting on their mass. If space time is bent, then the photons have to travel a different path.
